Jess joined Height in 2019 as a freelance graphic designer with most of her experience in the creative/marketing agency industry. For an agency-based designer the exposure to the infrastructure industry, and the type of work that Height requires has meant an expansion in Jess’ skillset in order to deliver a high standard of work that meets the brief.
After returning from a brief hiatus in Europe, she became a more permanent part of the Height whanau and works across many aspects of the business – internal work, marketing and comms, bidding, and procurement. Jess oversees the majority of the graphic design work for Height and our clients, including layout design for reports and documents, graphics and illustration of diagrams and infographics, web design and other collateral.
Jess moved to live in The Coromandel last year and now works for Height from her kitchen table. With over six years of experience in the industry, she has found herself in a unique position in which she consistently works alongside the Height team but is also able to pick up other design work to fit her schedule. This work often ranges from branding projects for smaller local businesses, to advertising and campaign work for the larger agencies, to one-off jobs for individuals who need design work. Working with Height has not only expanded Jess’ skillset but her clientele too, with many coming through on recommendation from the team
