Two proudly veteran-owned businesses, Height and Critical Path Protection (CPP), have formed a strategic partnership.

Height will leverage CPP’s Security Governance experts and their experience working across multiple sectors, including Defence, justice, security, and logistics, and CPP will draw on our experience in commercial and contract delivery and economic benefits.

Height CEO and Founder, Warner Cowin, says there is something about partnering with fellow veteran-owned businesses: it’s a relationship born of shared values and common experience.

The fact that Warner Cowin and Shaun Fogarty, Founder and Managing Director at CPP, both served in East Timor, and that Height Director Kel McBeath and Shaun are both connected through UN Operations in Croatia, means there is a deep bond and personal commitment between us.

From water, transport, justice, and Defence, Height clients operate and maintain some of our most critical infrastructure. Warner says that in a world of geopolitical uncertainty and real security threats, the decision to partner with CPP to support our clients in providing security expertise to protect these assets from threats is a no-brainer.

CPP’s founders, Shaun Fogarty and Simon Scott, bring a combined 50-plus years of experience in security and logistics, with Shaun serving in the NZ Defence Force and Simon working for the NZ Police.

Shaun was a Captain and held roles as Defence Attaché in France and Belgium and Head of the NZ Defence Force staff for Australia and India, while Simon was a Detective specialising in investigations, emergency management and business continuity.

Warner says that building strong relationships is at the heart of what we do, and we are delighted to form a strategic partnership with another veteran-owned business.

“In this uncertain world, we need intelligent partners to support our work in the infrastructure, security and defence sectors for our clients in Australia and New Zealand. This is a real differentiator. We look forward to leveraging Shaun and Simon’s subject matter expertise in defence, security and logistics.”

CPP Managing Director (MNZM), Shaun Fogarty, says he’s rapt to form this partnership with Height.

“It’s great to partner with another veteran-owned business that understands the global security situation and brings expertise in commercial and bidding work. We’ve got complementary skills and experiences and the same drive to do excellent work for our clients,” he says.

CPP empowers organisations with the security frameworks, training and intelligence needed to prevent harm, counter organised crime and safeguard critical operations and people. They provide a range of professional services, including strategic security reviews, logistics support for security risk and crisis management, and specialised security training for organisations in New Zealand, Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
