We’re thrilled to announce that Beaufa Brown is the new Principal for Height's Social and Sustainable Outcomes team.
Beaufa has been acting in this role for several months, and now he's official, as his predecessor, Claire McCarthy, is now Height’s Chief Operating Officer.
Beaufa worked as an Engineering Officer in the Royal New Zealand Air Force for 22 years before joining the Height whānau in 2022. He is an advocate for Māori and Pasifika businesses and led a Capability Uplift Programme for over 120 Māori businesses that we ran on behalf of Te Puni Kōkiri, helping these businesses collectively secure over $45 million in contracts.
Our Social and Sustainable Outcomes team partners with government, private-sector clients and iwi, to deliver social, economic and environmental benefits that create a more prosperous, sustainable and equitable Aotearoa.
Claire McCarthy says Beaufa is most deserving of his new role.
“I’ve been fortunate to work alongside Beaufa for the last four years. Beaufa always strives for excellence for his clients. He has a reassuringly calm style in leadership and facilitation – he navigates the issues and moves people to considered solutions. I’m very glad to be working with him in this new configuration,” she says.
