Melanie has more than fifteen years' experience in technical/bid writing and bid management. She is experienced in strategic business development, and helping clients develop and understand their value proposition.
She also implements business improvement plans, work programming and quality management processes.
At Height, Melanie has prepared winning tenders for local government contracts across a variety of construction and maintenance services – open space management, three waters, facilities management, roading, waste services and utilities. She also has significant experience preparing proposals for large-scale vertical construction contracts - for both the private/commercial and public sectors.
Previously, Melanie worked for local government service providers, an international development consultancy, and in London for an international forestry consultancy. In these roles she's written winning proposals for contracts with NZ local authorities, the Asian Development Bank, World Bank and NZ Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Melanie adopts a methodical approach to the practical aspects of writing, managing and consolidating the inputs of multiple contributors, and coordinating the production and packaging of the bid submission.
Melanie has a first degree in Geography and a Postgraduate Diploma in Science. Recently she completed the NZ Certificate in Te Reo Māori (Level 2).
She is a mum of two teenagers and loves spending time at the beach.
