Chris is a motivated project manager who joined the Height whānau in 2023 after 14 years with the New Zealand Defence Force where he worked in a wide range of operational, management, and engineering roles. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical), is a Registered Electrician and enjoys applying his analytical and critical-thinking skills to technical projects.
Chris’s Defence career has given him the opportunity to work in numerous roles, gaining experience in both hands-on engineering and management, equipping him with a holistic understanding that combines technical expertise with managerial and organisational skills. In 2017, Chris was awarded the Sailor of the Year, representing the NZDF on the National and International stage, engaging with industry partners and building on international relationships as a strategic link between senior leadership and sailors.
Chris has strong project management skills and expertise in strategy development supporting a streamlined experience and superior outcomes for clients. An excellent communicator with a genuine interest in helping his clients to achieve the best outcomes, his natural enthusiasm and passion for excellence add value to every project he works on.
In his spare time, Chris enjoys watching sport (up the Wahs), fishing and hanging out with his wonderful wife, kids and charming golden retriever.
