“The team at Height are always pushing innovation as a means of creating bespoke top-class solutions for our clients. As I quickly learned here at Height, understanding our clients and their concerns isn’t some throwaway mantra – it’s fundamental to who we are.”

CORE SKILLS: legal and contract knowledge

Gareth is a fourth-year law and commerce student from the University of Auckland. He is majoring in accounting and has a keen interest in company and intellectual property law.

Gareth began as an intern at Height in July 2018 and works part-time around his studies.

“University is fantastic, but very theoretical. Working at Height has allowed me to see first-hand the practical work that goes into creating successful, sustainable contracts. The detail-focus and commercial acumen of our team always amazes me, and it’s been a real joy to learn from them all.

“I’ve had the chance to contribute to the reviewal and drafting of bid documents, market research for future bid plans, and client interviews. Our team aren’t just great at what they do, they’re great people too, and the support for me and my development has been tremendous since day one. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us!”

Gareth has previously worked part-time for a Henderson-based immigration agent, assisting international clients with their job-seeking and visa application processes in NZ. He also volunteers for the CNZBA, a small migrant-focused charity, helping to run the groups’ free legal advisory service.

In his spare time Gareth loves watching and talking sports and playing basketball and football with mates.
